Ethan is one week old. Crazy! It really went by so fast. My day revolves around his eating schedule and it seems like right when he's done eating, he's ready to eat again! Nicholas had to go back to work on Thursday. It was nice having him off for most of the week. Nicholas's mom, Erica, came into town on Saturday and stayed until Tuesday. She was an absolute life saver! I thought I would be ok to do everything with Nicholas there, but she totally took care of us. She cooked and cleaned and helped me nurse... it was awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Nicholas had Erica bring Ethan to the church to show him to a couple of our friends after sacrament meeting. I didn't go to church but Nicholas had to speak. I didn't really want him to take him to church so soon but he was so excited to show him off that I couldn't say no.
He loves sleeping on his dad.
We kept him company while he had to lay on his Bililight bed for his jaundous. Nicholas played the guitar and I sang to him. He seemed to like it :)
You think he loves his dad or what?
Love the face, Ethan. Nicholas had this picture blown up and framed. He is so dang cute with him. He loves his little boy. You know I just realized that I don't have any dang pictures with my son! I'm always taking them of the boys.
It has been so much fun having Ethan here! I'm not going to lie though, I'm really stressed out. I'm always worried about putting him on an eating schedule or losing milk if he doesn't eat enough or making sure he's breathing in the night... I am completely responsible for this kid! I can't give him back to anyone... I have to take care of all the problems and it stresses me out! Nicholas finally told me to just relax and not worry about doing everything perfectly. I just need to take a big breath and get ready to be a mom!

Hey, Kelli you guys did great, he is beautiful. Give me a call, my phone died and I can't find your #. I have your gift still, hope to hear from you soon...take care. Aleese
What a cutie! Dont feel bad for being stressed. I think every new mom goes through this. If they dont admit it, they are lying. LOL. So atleast you can admit it. Just remember, He is only a week! You will figure things out. (and then he will change, and you will have to figure it out all over again! lol) How is your recovery?
Ya dont feel bad, it is very stressful and crazy. Dont worry about a schedule quite yet, he is still getting used to things, he will get on one soon. I would always check with emilie if she was breathing, now with easton i'm just gald he's sleeping. haha sad. anyways, i'm sure your doing great. hang in there. Cant wait to see him, one more week.
congradulations you two he is beautiful, and i cant wait to meet him.
he is so cute kel! just remind yourself every once in awhile to relax - everything is okay. over time you'll get more confident in yourself as a mom.
sounds like you have the perfect help meet! Nick is right. You're doing great and just do the best you can. Just ask your mom and she'll tell you she probably felt the same exact way.
He's beautiful and you guys are doing great!

I'm glad I got to come and see the little guy! He is just soooo precious! Don't worry! Life may seem crazy and so different for a little while and of course all the hormones & emotions you are going through sure doesn't make it any easier! Just take it one day at a time! You are doing a great job and you will be an awesome mom!!
I really like the book "Baby Wise" for putting my boys on a routine. It doesn't work for everyone but I LOVE it! Can't wait to come and see him :)
